Glowing/Running LEDs or Motors with CPU

Consider the USB cables in the figure. They all are having different wiring, but it don't matters.

I will recommend to get a USB cable from old mouse. Because it has the same wiring as you need.

Scratch the outer covering of the cable to obtain 4 or 5 different wires, red, green, white and blue/black. 



STEPS :

• Join the positive (slightly longer) wire of the LED to the positive (red) wire of the USB.

• Also, join the negative wire of the LED to the negative (blue/black) wire of the USB.
• The left wires are useless, cut them off.
• Connect the cable to the CPU's USB Port.
